Don't know if this was reported. If so... Whatever...

Eric Nystrom of the Wild, in year 2 of a $4.2 M three-year, one-way contract, was waived, not picked up, and is now in Houston.

Seems unfair that he gets an NHL salary in the minors while Fedun, who had a realistic chance to get some games in the show, now is paid AHL money.

pretty sure Fedun gets his NHL salary while injured because he cant be demoted to the AHL due to the injury.

i guess i could open up the f-ing CBA and check.. though, technically he didnt make the NHL roster before getting injured.. c'mon lowetide, figure this out

***patiently waits for someone else to check***

Fedun gets his NHL salary as he was injured during an NHL game. You cannot send an injured player to the minors, and it doesn't take up a roster spot. It also does NOT count against the cap (LTIR).

Hope this clears things up a bit

Now, WHERE IS THE GDB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's the home opener for chrissakes

It was confirmed on the Jason Gregor show that Fedun gets AHL money because he hasn't played enough NHL regular season games to qualify.
