Head to head ice time.

A fairly even contest overall last night. The insertion of Steve Tambellini on the Sedin line didn't stop the twins from producing scoring chances.

Other items of interest:

- Despite the evenness of the scoring chances, Colorado seemed to be commanding the puck for much of the game. Specifically, the last half of the third seemed to be spent entirely in the Canucks' zone (this might just be score effects shining through, but the Canucks seemed to have an awfully hard time of even gaining control and dumping it out).

- Chance counter Passive Voice didn't count scoring chances on three of the goals: Colorado's second, where O'Reilly threw the puck out front on a rush and it bounced off someone and in (Winnik got credit); Vancouver's third, in which Schaefer put it on net from the wall and it went in; and Raymond's OT winner, which was a crazy fluke.

*Some minor bugs - the Canucks are listed as having only three players on the ice for the Avs' chance late in the first, even though five Canucks (15, 17, 18, 20, 29) plus Luongo are clearly within a stick-length of the shooter.  In fact, Luongo appears to have disappeared for the end of the 1st, due to some screwy inputting of data.

Kent where do you find time to produce all that material for FN and then come over here to report as well? Apparently I'm the only one checking in over here.

That was a brutal goal in OT! Would love to know what that guy was thinking when he decided to cross the front of his net? Wow! Lucky one for the Canucks last night. But that's coming from a Flames fan after the debacle at the Dome.

I agree that the Canucks got lucky with 2 points on this one.

I watched the replay several times trying figure out what the defenseman was trying to do by going in front of the net. All I could come up with is that he didn't see Raymond and thought he had a ton of ice due to the 4 on 4. Bad choice.

I agree the Canucks were a bit lucky, but then again these SC totals tell a story of a pretty even match (Colorado seemed to get lucky not to be scored on several times).

AV also thought the Canucks were lucky. And now we see why he reamed out Samuelsson publicly. The Sedins were good, but they gave back plenty the other way.
